What Time is Check In?
Check-in is from 3pm - 9.30pm. If you are interested in checking in earlier, please give us a call and we'll do our best to accommodate your request.
Can I cook outside my Tent?
You are very welcome to picnic in the camp and you can BBQ in designated picnic areas. Please be aware however that should a fire ban be put in place outdoor camp fires & BBQ's will be restricted. Breakfast and a picnic can be ordered from us directly for you to enjoy at the camp or to take with you on your adventure.
Do you have a fire pit?
Our guests can enjoy a nightly camp fire and guests are welcome to make smores (yum!). Smores kit can be purchased from reception. It's great to sit around the fire at night and share stories and recall the adventures of the day. Not to mention enjoying the beautiful star studded sky!
Will I have electricity in my tent?
There is no electricity throughout the Camp. Solar pathway lighting will allow you the opportunity to take in a 1,000 star hotel room! That said, your tent will come equipped with lanterns for an evening glow and the bathroom trailer is lit all night. A charging station is available in reception for the electronics you absolutely cannot live without.
Are camp cots suitable for adults?
Yes, they are with some size limitations. Camp cots in our tipis or as additional beds are not suitable for people weighing more than 300 lbs or who are more than 6' 2.
What is there to do at the Camp?
The camp borders hundreds of acres of public land and so you can hike, or mountain bike to your heart's content! Of course there is so much to do in the area that however long you spend with us there will always be more to do on your next visit. With two National Parks and one State Park in close proximity you have abundant adventures ahead of you!
When is breakfast served?
You can pre order breakfast from us the night before and your breakfast would be available to enjoy from 7 am - 9.30 am daily.
How far are you from Arches National park?
The camp is located roughly 4 miles north of Arches National Park on Hwy 191. This means that you can be at the entrance within 5-10 minutes. In fact, we're close enough to enjoy stunning views of the Arches right from the camp.
How many days do I need to see the sights?
With so much to do in the area we really suggest staying at least 2-3 nights. You can see many of Arches famous sights in 1 very busy day but with several parks in the area and so many activities to enjoy we would recommend spending as long as you can!
Should I make reservations for area activities in advance?
We absolutely recommend that you make reservations as the summer is a very busy time! We are happy to make all your reservations for you and schedule your itinerary so just give us a call or email us.
What's the weather like?
This is the desert so come prepared for heat! Moab gets exceptionally hot in the summer. Temperatures will most likely be in the 90s -100 in the peak of the summer and drop down into the 60s at night. Occasionally, in a very dry summer, the area is put on a fire ban and fires are not permitted.
What's the nearest airport?
There are a several options for flying into Moab. Moab has its own small airport that connects through Denver serviced by Great Lakes Airline,Moab, Utah (CNY). There are 2 larger options Grand Junction, CO (GJT) which is 120 miles from Moab and Salt Lake City (SLC) which is 240 miles away.
Do I need a Car?
Rental cars are available at all area airports. We would definitely recommend one so as to be able to access the surrounding area easily.
